Every Luna Ilum piece begins in Tokyo's jewelry quarter — the small, closely held district where Japan's finest stones pass through the fewest hands. We don't buy from catalogs or brokers. We source in person, on the ground, from the people who have spent a lifetime learning to read a stone.

Our source

Our stones are chosen by Anup Agarwal, one of the district's most trusted eyes for more than three decades. His standing in the quarter — and a lifetime of gemological training — gives us access to material the rest of the world rarely sees, at a price the rest of the world rarely sees with it.

Certified, documented, direct

Our gemological standards are backed by the institutions that define them — the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences (AIGS), and the Young Jewellers Association (YJA). Every stone is sourced with documentation and brought to you directly: Japan to your door, with nothing in between.

Two ways we work

Direct to client (DTC). The same stones, the same source, offered straight to collectors and clients without the traditional retail markup.

Trade & wholesale (B2B). We supply jewelers, designers, and trade partners seeking authenticated, Japanese-sourced diamonds, colored gemstones, and pearls at trade terms.
